Need a little help. I am wanting to place a banner on the back of my Tau commanders back pack, but I can not find a good base pole for it. I then saw in WD 296 a Commander with what I was looking for. The problem is I dont know what was used for the ploes that he used on the model. Can anyone help? it is driving me crazy. Thanks
brass wire can be found at most model shops not sure about games workshop
do not underestimate a sponge, what they lack in movement they make up for in brain power.
alright just use a toothpick and then put another toothpick horizontaly at the top so its like a banner thing, then if you want you could glue a SM head to the top of the banner top!
thats the model thing
Damn straight homies! Of course tau kill SOB then they go on a pantie raid
If you goto most any hobby store, they should sell long brass rods for use in modelling.
Or in the alternative, you can look threw a complete Games-Workshop catalog and look for bits for ordering, most GW related stores should carry it, as well as all official GW stores.
If you use brass rod, then remember that the strongest way to attach a cross member is to solder it. Superglue would be more brittle.
However, brass rod could certainly withstand firm bending to a 45 degree or 90 degree angle, if you wanted a Japanese looking back banner.
Ryan Dancey, Vice President of Wizards of the Coast, believed that TSR failed because of "...a near total inability to listen to its customers, hear what they were saying, and make changes to make those customers happy." Are you listening, Games Workshop ?
you could using green stuff and a brass rod make an 'Eldar style' banner blowing backwards
