i dont know about anyone else...but it is a pain in the arse when you paint a metal model and then they magicaly chip and fade! Arggh!
ne who, i thought about using a fixatiff on my models to keep the paint lookin good and was wondering if anyone else uses this stuff or what exactly do others use?
i just want to be able to preserve my painting and not have to touch them up all the daggone time!
thanks.

I use Games workshop Matt finish for a duller finish, and Kyrlon gloss for a shiny touch. Most of the time I do a coat of the gloss to give a stronger coat to protect the model, and a light coat of GW matt to cut the shine down a bit. This works great to stop chipping and fading, and the models only suffer when they are dropped on a hard wood floor. (Even then plastic is more likely to break than chip.)

Yes, the 'ardcoat sold by GW works wonders. Tough, unchippable and doesn't attract dust. If you don't like the glossy finish, you could always get rid of it with Purity Seal or a similar matt varnish.
