Well i need some help because I've got to the point where I'm stuck for ideas.
My Imperial guard army is based on Empire foot soldiers
My army...so far
Now I want to add 2 units of 10 rough riders to them, but I'm stumped on the look of them, parts, basic ideas like that
first of all why did you think to do that. So riders are IGs with bikes if so get mounted empire men give guns and put them on bikes and paint them the same but give them gold hat trim.

Rough Riders ride horses, not bikes...
Order some plastic horses and Kislev horse archer legs (I've heard they work well) and use the same torsoes as on the rest of your army. It should cost about £4 each plus the upper body.
You are allowed to put special equipment doctrines on rough riders only if you want, so you could give them carapace (knights!)
Yeah, go with some Empire horses from WFB and use some riders that match your theme... Maybe you could give them different hats or something to show that they are cavalry and not infantry...
Love your theme by the way... very cool... (Y)
Yea thats a great theme. You could go with Bretionnia knights. If they are from a feudal world, it would make sense that the knights would have richer armour as the knights/rough riders would be sons of nobles etc. I have thought of doing that type of army but the amount of work just put me of plus I am neck deep in orks.

If you go with the heavier armour I suggest you keep the same heads. Your troops look a little like swedish caroline troops (mostly because of the hats) who were around in the 16th century, long after knights had disappeared.

I love the guardsmen.
For rough riders take carapace armour and use empire knights with no conversion work, they will look great, just put them on round bases and make all the cloth red.
