Okay, I've got this crazy fluff/painting idea going on in my head and I need help on how it would work.I'll post in painting section too.
Okay, vet DE players, let me know about this one:
The Dark Eldar have painted their armor and such white so when they fight in battle, they can get bloodstained and show off their kills in style. So my DE warriors, raiders, etc. would be white, and then i'd "splatter" red gore or something on them, and some green for aliens, to show that they've killed mucho. I'll convert the Lord to show he was tearing hearts from IG and SMurfs, and the raiders would be black, but have like, white pieces that look as though the DE added them to catch blood and body parts. So, what do you say? the white DE splatterd in blood?
but how would i do it, without just priming them white? What can i highlight or add to it to make it look nice without just painting white then splattering? Thanks for your help.

I'm not a DE player but I love the fluff idea! I'd prime your figs gray & then drybrush them (thickly) with skull white or maybe bleached bone. Splatter your fig with the color(s) of your choice by using a heavy wash/ink & a toothbrush (not the one you currently use). Load up the toothbrush (or other brush with similarly hard bristles) & splatter the fig by running your finger/thumb across the bristles. Take a peice of paper to mask-off those portions of the fig you don't want to splatter. Also, it's a good idea to do your splattering in an old shoebox so you minimiza any collateral painting to your work surface.Originally posted by we have coffins@Nov 27 2004, 19:13

Maybe include a bloody handprint motif on some of the armor? Use the hand prints as a "kill counter"? You can really let your imagination go crazy with this idea!
Not too sure on how you'd incorporate this on you vehicles but I'm sure the end result will be good...Any suggestions my fellow LO members?
PS - I've used the "toothbrush" trick to good effect on chaos weapons & eldar fire prisms.
I hear voices...and they don't like you!
I'd spray mine white, paint them over with more white to ensure a nice smooth coat, and then ink with light blue or grey. It gives a smoother finish than drybrushing that I think fits eldar better. You could also highlight them with white after inking to make sure they are as white as possible and to give more contrast.
I'd go with tubal for the white paint but for blood dip a toothbrush (just the brisels) in red the wipe a bit then flick it on the minis
