I made a Tau Jetbike using a fire warrior, some Crisis Weapons, and an Eldar Jetbike...
He looks cool, but unfortunatly I don't recall where I placed him and I don't have a digital camera...

Tau Conversions? Don't get me started on Tau conversions...

On my Broadsides I decided there was too much metal above the ankles, so I did not apply the metal 'Fume Extractor Louvres'. I carefully shaved off the plastic Jetpack vents, and covered over the entire 'slot' with Squadron putty. It needed two applications and some careful smoothing with a engineers metal ruler, but now the backpacks just have the tapering downwards pointing extensions, and these are completely blank.

I was frustrated at the arms on the Crisis Suits, which are both flexed (L shaped). So I cut through the elbow joint (in fact along the 'screwdriver slot&#39 on some of these, mixed them up and glued them together. So now some of my Crisis Suits have straight arms - make them look a bit more active.

The legs on my Fire Warriors are also a bit predictable and samey, so I chopped them on the left side of the groin. Again a bit more swapping and now I have 36 FWs with an interesting mix of dramatic (and anatomically correct) postures.

I chopped a few Pulse Carbines and Pulse Rifles to allow for some more variation for the Pulse Carbine armed troops. I will do this again as I create a couple of teams of Pathfinders (converted from Fire Warriors for reasons of weight and not liking the metal ones too much).

I've discussed my Human Auxiliaries elsewhere. They are plastic Cadian Shocktroopers with all the imperial winged skull motifs shaved off.

The Kroot too are very easy to convert. Again, the legs can be sliced off on one side of the groin and repositioned. And arms and weapons can be swapped around. I have two that are down on one knee firing their Rifles.

Ryan Dancey, Vice President of Wizards of the Coast, believed that TSR failed because of "...a near total inability to listen to its customers, hear what they were saying, and make changes to make those customers happy." Are you listening, Games Workshop ?

And then you have... what exactly?

I converted a pathfinder out of the tank commander. I cut off his left leg, and replaced it with a trimmed down fire warrio leg, one of the slightly bent ones. I strapped a carbine to his back, and the binoculars serve as his markerlight. He looks pretty good for such a simple conversion, it's like he has just spotted a tank and is turning to dive into cover.

I plan to get out most of my conversion needs by doing a lot of work on my auxiliary squad. They should look good, good contrast to the rest of the army.

If you cut the battle suit legs at the right point(where the should bend, but dont), you can make knealing Battle suits. Looks espesialy good on broad sides.
