hey, can anyone give good advice on how to do black armour?I don't want it too shiny.thanx ^_^
Errrr, undercoat black, do some highlighting on the edges (mix with a little white, or whatever you want).
or use chaos black paint.
heres a step by step on what i do .
1. undercoat black
2.give it a watered down chaos black base coat
3. highlight with codex grey ( or codex grey/chaos black mix depending on how dark you want it )
4. extreme highlights in fortress grey
ot looks ok to me , but im not an expert on painting black . hope that helps .

Dont forget, the best way to eliminated shine on models is to use a Matte finish spary, it takes the shine out of armor and stuff real well. I se a combo of Kamar Varnish, which makes the model extra shiny, and matte finish which takes off the shine. Using these two also double protects the model and leaves it with little to no glare-shine at all. but that's just what I do.
