Do you want them to be humanish or not? If they come from a forest world, an animalish appearance would be good, I've been thinking about a race of Lion-like humanoids for a while.

Im also working on an original Chaos Army, The Playmates. Im currently having trouble converting models, as I've yet to find an adequate child model anywhere, and many of the units are kids.

That would probably be easier to do, as a furry race would definitly scream forest planet, and be just plain cool, but the only convertable models I can think of would be ironclaw which are much too small to be useful. Aside from the tanks, it also would be rather fitting imo if they had pack animals and animal companions that they could fight with.

Just look to Warhammer if you want to use pack animals...... and if you want field a commander on a dragon!! Will definately give them that ancient mystical forest feel.....

A combination of warhammer boxed sets and catachans woud be great jungle people, coupled with some lizard men as special units maybe...
