Welcome to Librarium Online!
Ive been playing crimson fists a little while now... 2 months ... and my record is not too great, 11 wins 9 losses. Now i want to switch to sallies just because i like the fluff. i really want to repaint them but i want to keep of little of the blue on the models. Any Ideas anyone? It would be great if you guys could help me out.
What are sallies???
Ave Dominus Nox!
I'd like to know too. What are Sallies?
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
my guess are that it's salamders he's talking about.
the only blue i can think to put on there that won't look out of place is on any lizard skin you give the models.
Yeah, this is excellent! TY Angel of Rust!
Graktoof the vile, victor of 1000 battles, partial credit to 1000 more, and sore loser about the other 8000...

Blues won't really go well with salamanders Colour Scheme.
On a side note, I decided to srap my Crimson fists and go with sallies too. Strange huh?
As for the whole painting process:/The lord of anti double posts strikes again-primed black
-drybrushed snot green (to preserve the "armor lines" instead of having to paint them
-black once everything is done.) 2-3 thin coats.
-highlighted with sunburst yellow (drybrush edges.)
-touched up black areas that got drybrushed by accident with chaos black
-drybrushed boltgun metal over the joints (elbots, hips, back of knees, and back pack exhaust ports/vents.)
-painted eyes sunburst yellow.
-painted purity seals with 2-3 thin coats of bleached bone and highlighted/aged with snakebite leather. The seal was painted crimson gore and highlighted (the pic doesn't do it justice) with ruby red.
-The chest eagles were painted with shining gold and then "color enrichened"/highlighted with brazen brass. (which BTW my BB is almost 7 years old in one of the older paint pots and it's still going strong... WHY did GW have to change the pots???)
-used a micro pen to write on the purity seals
-boltgun was painted black and then the boltgun metal was painted onto the other details. Then highlighed with codex grey (don't skip this as the weapon is the most visible object and often most impressionable and alot of people just slop paint on them and it's really what ruins an otherwise good looking mini (IMHO).)
How do you plan to repaint them? By simply painting over your existing painted models or by stripping the paint then repainting them?
I would highly discourage simply painting over already-painted models since you'll lose alot of detail and it often looks glaringly obvious that they've been repainted.
Just buy another army, if your going for the fluff, you probaly need other models to. maybe some converting with greenstuff, some flames on the armor and lava bases. but you need the money for it. :hmm:
But are sallies that different from crimson?
And if you have enough of your crimson after 2 months, how long are you gonna like salamanders?
