There seems to be many, many different ways to paint greenskins, so I was just curious. How do YOU paint them?
I prime mine with Chaos Black, paint all the skin Dark Angels Green and then give it a coat of Dark Green Ink. I now give it a very crude highlight of Goblin Green on all of the "high areas". To finish it off I give it a very heavy drybrush of Sunburst Yellow, to give the highlight an extra layer and to smooth it out.
It's very simple and gives a pretty decent effect. I'll see if I take some pictures later.
spray with Black, Coat with Dark angels green, highlight with Goblin green, then drybrush with an almost yellow green mix.
i only painted one greenskin in my life, and it actually didnt turn out too bad. What i did was a series of highlights (big surprise ) but i drybrushed it all. Starting out with a dark green and going up to i much lighter green. Also the lighter my green got, the lighter i did my drybrushing. I think the main paints i used were, Dark Angles Green, Snot Green, and Scorpion Green. I dont know if i used Goblin Green too :hmm:

Similar but instead of drybrushing yellow/green, I ink yellow.Originally posted by WiCkEdRock@Jan 3 2005, 03:15

And over there we have the labyrinth guards.

Black, Dark angels green, Snot green, Goblin green. All Drybrushed.
once or twice i've painted one of my brothers orks (40k), and all i done was dark angels green, drybrushed goblin green with a green ink wash, it turned out quite nice if i do say so my self.
if you are reading this signature, then you are wasting you're time, and i am wasting my time by writing it, so run along now, jimmy, run along.
I spray base in white, then base in Goblin or Bilious green (closest thing now is Scorpion green), wash with thinned Dark Angels green, and then dry brush highlight with green and green/yellow.
