Here is my latest work - my Chaplain! The base is greenstuff and the model itself is leftover plastics from my various projects. The only metal is the right claw which I ordered from GW.
Hope you all like it.
Nice conversion, but i don't think a Chaplain would leave home without his Crozius.
nooo he wouldnt especially as he's an ultramarine
you might want to try the bone effect with the skulls, rather than just white, it could be just me but it i think it looks better than pure white.
WARMASTER of the SCHOLA PROGENIUM Alnwick Chapter (soon to be the world)
There is a bone effect there. Maybe the picture doesn't show it as clearly as in person, but the pure white is there as a highlight. I started with Snakebite leather, then Bleached Bone, then Skull White.Originally posted by Decado@Jan 17 2005, 18:22

As for the Chrozius... I might add that later on the model.
Thats veyr nice. The skull looks very good.
Only think I could say was repaint the lighting claws. They are power weapons after all.
that is damn cool man, but i agree, he should still have his crosius

Is that a veteran lightning claw or a home made one?
Veteran claw. A pair goes for $4 on GW's site.Originally posted by rovens@Jan 18 2005, 140

Crozius' are just an ornemental token of office. It is quite often for Chaplains of all chapters to not use this weapon at all, preffering such weapons as twin lightning claws, thunderhammers and such. Plus whos to say that this Chaplain had been awarded a particularly ornate crozius from the great crusade and only takes it to the feild of battle when the needs are dire? Or if he got his hads torn off in a titanic struggle between him and a carnifex and instead of getting simple bionic hand he had the techmarines graft Lightning Claws to his wrists.
There are plenty of reasons to leave it out so feel free to not model it on.
Good point. My main reason though is because I wanted a Chaplain with Lightning Claws. That reason will be good enough for my local gaming group.Originally posted by Bobby_Wokkerfella@Jan 18 2005, 18:14
