Does anyone have any advice on taking off mould lines from spure based minis? I use a knife to scrape away the lines but often this leaves damage on the model surface. Also, sometimes the line appears to be gone when I clean, but when I paint a fine line shows uo, which is well annoying! Help please!
Micro-Mark sells plastic seam scrapers. Micro-Mark
I use an x-acto knife with no real problems. If you are too rough it will gouge. Maybe try lighter scraping motions. Plastic is the easiest to get rid of mold lines.

I use the jewelers files as well. They work very good. But a good hobby store sells them at the same cost as a hardware store. Mine cost about one dollar as well. But GW... Yeah, avoid GW for ALL hobby related purchuses..
I use my knife and a nail file. I dont see to much wroung with just a normal file.
