well not many play genestealer cults any more..(im definent the only one left in denmark) but if some of you like genestealers heres some tips on how to create the patriarch(the genestealer leader)
i made mine with a mix of the new tyranids and the old genestealers and green stuff..
i basicly kept the arms and legs of the normal genestealer, then i gave it the body of a tyranid warrior, i then took one of the new heads, and filed it so that the head had the genestealer form i wanted(you may want to edit the shape of the head if you want) i then chiped of bits from a normal base and put them on as the spicky thingies that genestealers have on there back, now i then took the glue(since i didnt have any green stuff at the time ) into there backs(you know those pink things with railings or what ever sticking out of there backs) i then painted it, washed it, high lighted and painted it again, ill add a picture soon.
Hey man... Welcome to LO!
It's great to see another Dane on the forums... (Velkommen mester! Vi må desværre ikke snakke andet end engelsk her.. )
Sounds like a cool conversion but you can actually order a Genestealer Patriarch from the GW online store...
Here are the links:
Patriarch left arm
Patriarch right arm
good to see another dane for once but i allready knew that you could order him this is just for people who like making there figures them selves or aint made out of money (with other words like me). good to find such a great site like this to chat with other warhammer wielders
I was thinking about Hive Tyrant legs, tail and the arms (one pair of Rending Claws, and one pair of Scything Talons but with the blades removed), then a Red Terror body (looks almost the same like Stealer's but biggerized), then a Stealer head (some GS on it to enlarge the cranium and thicken the neck) and then the blades from six Gaunt Scything Talon arms placed as the three-fingered "claws" where the big talons were on the Tyrant ST arms.
well if you had ever seen the original patriarch you wouldnt say that since.. the original is basicly a little large, fat one, hes legs and arms are allmost the same sise as normal.. also the tyranid parts would give him armour which would look crudy.. believe me i tried alot out when building him.. the one you sudgest would look more like a tyranid then a genestealer..Originally posted by the_fifth_horseman@Jan 24 2005, 07:31

Looks nice indeed, though IMO the inquisitor scale genesteraler would make for an ideal base
Nice conversion! (Y)
I would also have used the Inquisitor-scale 'Stealer as a basis. Then again, that might be a tad too big...
However, anything's better than the old Patriarch model! That must be one of the ugliest models I've ever seen, and wouldn't be caught dead using it. It even tops the current Tyrant Guard models in silliness, though only barely...
And won't even mention the Patriarch on the throne... Why would a 'Stealer sit on a throne? More importantly, how could it sit on a throne that was designed for humans (as IIRC the model was)? Magus yes, but never the Patriarch... Of course, this was old stuff fluff, so perhaps the bestial aspect and Tyranid connection wasn't as defined then.
"The meat things seek to destroy ourselves. They hunt us as we hunt them but they are weak and uncertain. The inferior flesh will be entirely destroyed, all biomatter consumed. Ourselves will fight to the last, all weak flesh must be devoured."
thanks for the suport!
but i didnt use the genestealer for inquistor for two reasons:
1: the patriarch must look like a big fat genestealer not a giant agile one.
2: do i look like im made out of money?! i cant even aford green stuff how am i then suppossed to have money for ordering a model?!
