For washes and thin glazes I use Wonder Wash Inks or Reaper
For strong inks, black lining, shading, and heavy glazes I use GW, Higgens (drawing inks) and Dr Ph Martins. Dr Ph Martins are artists inks and liquid acrylic colors. You can get Higgens and Martins in metallic colors as well. Everyone else sells ink cheaper than GW, imagine that.
Vallejo's transparent colors function very similar to ink washes and glazes, but are not quite as intense as inks.
