Yeah..I don't have any paint remover on hand, as well as a lack of rubbing alcohal...
How would nail polish remover do? Outside of giving me a slight buzz, everything seems fine on the test model, just wanted to know from you guys if it's safe for my plastic models...who have caked on layers of paint that I wish to remove.
Anything with acetone will melt plastic. Some nail polish removers are acetone free. Whether they remove the paint or not, or melt plastic, would involve a test. Try soaking a piece of sprue. Sometimes if your timing is good you can soak plastic minis in acetone, get the paint off, and remove them before damaging any of the detail, but I wouldn't risk it.
Ingredients : Acetone.
Suppose it'll hurt if I just mop up the problem area's (currently the crest on the SM chest) via dunking and rubbing with a cue tip?
