Hey I just converted an Imperial Guard Commander.

I used the legs from the WFB Empire Militia set as well as one of those chest pieces that has the trenchcoat.
I then took the Laspistol arm of a Armoured Legion Sergeant and then took an arm from the Cadian heavy weapons team and put binoculars in it, he is positioned to look like he's just seen some enemies from his binoculars and is running at them blasting with the Laspistol, I will try and post a pic soon.

What do think by the sounds of it?

man... never thougt of that... when i get home from school i might try and make one myself... sounds cool... why didn't i get that idea?!

but if you could get a pic it wold be easier to comment... but i think i get it... you have cut off the lowest part of the "trenchcoat"? or did you leave that on? i think it could look quite good with them on...

I left the trenchcoat on, he is painted with black boots and trenchcoat and shadow grey trousers. The i put stripes over the trenchcoat to make it more 'Urban' camo.

this also works well as a commisar conversion with commisar cuffs added to the arms

Hey yeah, I never thought of that. If I made another IG Commander I could use this guy as a commisar......or make a new guy as a commisar......

    Thanks for the ideas......

i just got an idea for one of the trenchcoat-commanders/commisars: have a look at the arms from the highelves (i know the bowmen have it, not sure about other regiments...), i think they would look cool´combined with the trenchcoat... or?

Edit: by hte way... when are we going to see pics?
