I apologize in advance if this has been posted anywhere before but my search hasn't really found anything that adresses this issue exactly so I'm gonna ask you guys for some help.

How exactly do you make berets for imperial guard? I have a Tanith army and I want to put some berets on them but I don't know how.

Take a blob of Green Stuff an put it on the head of the mini... Form it so that one side of the beret is a bit flatter than the other... If you like you can add a tiny ball of Green Stuff to the higher part of the beret to create a badge...

i think it would be fairly easy to make them from putty, and then paint them black

Try it as above, but often I find you have to take off the top of the head to get the right 'sit' for the beret.

When the small blob/ball of GS/putty is put on the head, just slightly push it to the right, and then use a tool/knife, dipped in water, to scribe in or accentuate the crease and the band around the bottom.

For the badge, I usually use a little piece cut off a plastic rod, bought at the same place you get plasticard, but I've seen people use plastic spear shafts. You are looking to end up with a small round 'button'. It normally goes over the left eye.
