Well I'm sure many have thought of this I just want an opinion on whether or not it would work. I want my IG veterans to stand out a little from my normal troops (cadians) so I was thinking about giveing them Catachan's heads and arms to make them look a little different. Has anyone tried this? How does it look? Are the arms for the Catachans to big?
Thanks in Advance!!!
It works... you could also use bits from the Necromunda and Mordheim ranges to really personalise your veterans...
look in UK WD 289 there are some ideas to how you can convert your own Hardended vets...

Three Companies of the 26th Vinancium
143rd Airborne Badgers (99.9% done)
159th Corsair Rifles (35% done))
69th Armored Wall Busters (95% done)
Total 197 men, 12 tanks, 4 Heavy Artillery Pieces
If your using the new plastic Cadians as your basic troopers, I would suggest ordering some of the original Cadians to build your veteran squads.
THey have the same look as the new models so they wont look out of place, but being the old models can make them stand out as veterans. Easy vets without any converting, and you get to paint some cool models.
