Hello, I have bought a small BT army (Tac squad and an Emperor's Champion) and was wondering if it would be alright to give them red shoulder pads and still use the BT rules without people complaining about it or not knowing they are BT's.

    Every opinion is appreciated.

Yeah there is nothing wrong with giving your army a style of there own. If your using an Emporers Champion everyone will no that you are play black templars.

I think that your BT would look better than the standard ones. They are to plain just like ravenguard. Talk about boring, not only are the SM but there color is plain. Just my thoughts.

I think red would be the perfect color to add on. Use Red Gore, though. Black and red looks great, I've always loved that color scheme. Spices things up from the usual black and white bore, right? At my local GW store (Which isn't really local, 40 minutes drive, lol, I never go there) they had some rhinos and troops that were black and red. With Rhinos, the parts on the side that were lower than the rest (I can't describe them) were painted red, and they looked great. Those parts on the front and back that are... indented. Somebody describe them better, please, I dunno what they're called.

Also if you look in the new codex you will see several shoulderpads of the ultramarines if I remember corectly. Each has a different colour meaning that they come from a different compagny. You just give your army the . . .. compagny name and ppl should stop complaining.

However with that statement out of the way, I would say listen to ArchonBjorn. He has a really good tendency to not say stupid things and give bad advice.
