Ok I am going to start on my Ig heavy weapons soon (well pretty soon..........a month?) and am going to make as many as possible from my heavy weapon box. I bought a box of infantry as well to help me get as much out of it as possible.
Lascannons, i resign and use the big bases, hard not to
Heavy bolters, check the money saving one at the top.
Missile launchers, take crouching legs or walking, have missile launcher held vertical to back for walking, in aimeing position for crouching, both do able on normal bases. Re loaders have standing legs holding missiles.
Autocannons-Not needed, worst weapon ever.
But mortars have me stumped........Any ideas?
PS: Once have all these written out, I'll add them to my original post on the moneysaving post. Every little helps!

When I say jump you don't ask me 'How high?' maggot! You jump!
I've had this idea for a mortar based IG army for a while now (I've never gotten around to it though).
But I was thinking of getting a Cadian boxed set, 20 basic guardsmen (enough men for 10 mortar teams) and them some kind of plastic pibe. A bit of plasticard and green stuff (and probably some bits from the cadian sprues) will do for details on the mortars.
I imagine that the same procedure could be used for missile launchers, although a lot more armbending/greenstuff fun would be necessary.
