Aye! Starting an Ork army YAY!
and what is the cheapest way to get things to play... Build them! ^_^
So with no further notice, the killa kan.
I literally took a sprue and built it! (plus bits and sucH)
I will later make claws for the "hands" and press in
as many grots or snotlings in the cockpit as I can
What do you think?
Not bad. Im not to keen on the pod look, but it'll look better when jammed full of Grots/Squiggs.
However, i do like the way everything is stuck on randomely - just like an Ork.
Is the pen meant to be on its base? or did you just leave it there.
7/10 me thinks. Although its hard to make judgement from when its not painted.
I cant tell...
After you paint it PM me, I want to see how this one turns out. (Y)
damn, people are like all the time saying "Paint it god damnit!"
hm... maybe tomorrow ^_^
Cool work, but it looks kinda fragile.. It has the same armour value as a rhino. Maybe you should add some armour plates and stuff like that?
Warhammer Fantasy: Warriors of Chaos, High Elves
Warhammer 40k: Eldar, Space Marines, Orks
Whoa! I see all sorts of stuff on there! A Tau Burst Cannon, a Space Marine head, a Tau Tallisera knife, and a bunch of other stuff. Great work! 8/10

First off I will say it does look like you have the general shape of a Killa Kan. However it doesn't look functional. It looks like a statue made from scrap rather than a machine. It is lacking joints, hydrolics, etc. to give the illusion of functioning machinery. Maybe the strategic use of thin brass rods and guitar string will help it feel more like a machine.
On the point of armor - You can take rough pieces of plasticard and attach them as extra armor. This done in a hodge podge manner will look more like an ork vehicle than simply running some sprue pieces together. Remember that while they put scrap on their vehicles - they are still functioning machines at their core.

I was remaining silent until i saw it painted, to be honest I was quite sceptical of how the results would look.
I am pleasently surprised
two things: I needs some green stuff in a few strategic gaps to make it look more solid, and the paint job needs a little more contrast.
good job overall, (though I still don't like thos wire arm things  )
oh, and not only orks can make ork guns work, the kroot have ork guns in their armoury
that was four things... heh
That's true, but I think it's a hole in the fluff for game purposes. Ork tech is supposed to function becasue of their gestalt psychic field or whatever, that's why painitng a truk red actually makes it faster.Originally posted by Mormagli@Mar 1 2005, 07:11

An ork is supposed to be able to make a shoota out of pretty much anything, and according t the laws of physics they are not meant to work, but they do.
Still I guess the kroot could modify the weapon to make it work. They would probably just think the Orks had given them a broken gun?
btw that is an awesome killa kan. I love seeing a scratch build come together, and that one did. (Y)
