In my typical way, when I was playing Warcraft III, and then Halo, on my computer, I came up with an idea: I looked at a Nerubian (centaur-like spider-man). Then I thought, "add a gun to it". Simple, yes, but I was inspired.
So I took another look into the catalogue. I thought on it, and decided on the following:
Gaunt bodies with legs replaced with six Hormogant arms;
A Tyranid Warrior body as the thorax;
Kroot upper bodies;
Hormogant heads with mandibles.
It would look like a Nerubian with blade-like legs and a rifle.
For a leader type, I thought a DE lord arm (the one with a massive clawed hand) would make an excellent powerfist, or power weapon.
They very well could be used as Rough Riders in my army- an advanced form of abhumanism? Their rifles represent lasguns, and they move as cavalry. If RR were allowed frag grenades, I could count them as having webs for those. I could combine the Xeno mounts rule and Carapace Armor doctrine to represent their slower cavalry type and a mandible bite.
Or I could just make them their own rules...
What do you think? Is it a worthy conversion?
Sounds awesome. (Y)
Pretty advanced mutation though for abhumans, almost chaos like.
Can you still get those forest goblin spider rider guys in fantasy, or are they gone now? If they are still available you could use them, I alwasy thought the spiders looked pretty good.
