Just one thing you aught to know... Im Mod Crazy... i have had some fun with korn berzerkrs and i been havin TONS of fun with my muties.... But i cant think of anything to do for traitors :*(**** I am obv going to use imp gaurd bases im just not sure what kind... id prefer non metal modles just cause plastic is easyer to mod ;p..... and they cant be too off the wall for they are non marked and I want to keep them "uniform" or at least give them a common thread (unlike my muties that range from a foot with arms and a head to a dragonesc type creature ;p ) please let me know any ideas you might have (i am VERY unfamiliar with the im gaurd models so any info on the kewl lookin ones would be aprechiated ;p )
the cadian are cool. use them but paint their armour black and have some spikes from the choas spiky bitz sprue on a couple of helmets.
they come in packets of 20 for £15 so they are quite cheap.
hope this helps
let me know what you think
I am not familiar with the Cadian spru's (i been using catachan jungle fighters in my mutants and im not realy a fan of the exposed chest look ;p that many of the bodys have).... i was under the impresion that there were many different types of imp gaurd??? i have seen the ones in gas masks too but thats it ;p The problem is i was hopeing for... i duno something more... if you have the 283 White Dwarf (it has the balrog from LotR on the cover) on page 66 they did a traitor squad that looks KILLER i was hopeing to do something like that where id be adding in parts from another set of thingys to make it uniform... i duno mebie im too mod happy but yeah ;p but these guys are gona be feiled with my muties and they are SOOO moded id just like to doo something extraordinary i gess....
well alot of the imperial guard come in packets of 3 (i think) in blisters so they are expensive. if you dont like this idea or catachans then get cadians. they are the only other guard set that come in boxes of men cheaply.
if you drill a small hole then use a fine blade to make its look crisp and gagged it looks like the spike is rippign straight through.as well you can use 1-2mm plastic sheet wax to scult blades and odd shape gun blades. aswell if you go down to .25mm you can make new badges to attach.
hrmm ill have to look into that... i was looking for a way to replicate the chaos bit for tanks that has the 5 spikes coming out a rectangular plate... i dont know what im talking about but i cant explain it any better ;p and i just bought a pin vice and have been fun playen with it .... but i got another question... i was looking for the sawblades that khorne dedicated vehicles get... i was gona mod them into rough terain modifier for my leman russ.... what vheicles come with that???
i think they were arms from an ork killa-kan... im not sure tho

i used catachans painted their clothes black picked out details but their flesh is pale almost in grey (black under and elf flesh under) then a few spikes here and there and tattoos of the star  . just use your mind, listen to something heavy, and think evil and see what comes out, for me it worked
A relatively easy way to do good-lookin' traitors without too much work is to use the torso from the new Cadian plastic sprue and combine it with the legs and arms from the plastic Dark Elf sprue from Warhammer fantasy. Strangely enough, they fit together perfectly well. Depending on how you want to do the head, you can use the Dark Elves heads, though this makes them look too much like, well, Dark Elves. Alternatively, you can use the heads from the plastic Catachan sprue, but their necks are too long, so you'll need to trim them up. Another good choice for heads would be the plastic Chaos Marauder heads, or even the plastic Empire heads from Fantasy - it really depends on the look you're going for. For weapons, the Dark Elves arms come with a sword already attached, so adding a laspistol is no big deal. If you want lasguns instead, you'll have to do some serious cutting and gluing with the Cadian and Dark Elves arms. Of course, you can always avoid this by using the loose Catachan or Cadian lasguns instead.
Hope that helps!
