I'm planning to paint a nice black rune sword for my bd lord. I would like the runes to have a nice glowing effect if possible. Also, i wil have to paint my own runes on , so have you got any techniques, tutorials, links, (anything) that can help me?
Paint the sword black. Read the pinned thread "Thunderbolt and Lightning, Very Very Frightening..." and apply what you've learnt to the runes you paint on the black sword. :hmm:
I hear voices...and they don't like you!
Dear Mr. Bunny[Big]
If I am correct in assuming that you are painting runes for a sword that is Chaos Perrhaps, or any other dark/brooding color schemes, I may have a bit of advice for you[but your task is a perilous and woesome one]: as long as the base coat [of the sword] is a dark color, you can use several shades of orange/yellow/red and everything in between to achieve the glowing effect. for the runes, use anywhere from a light shade of white/grey or [my personal favorite] shining gold symbols with somewhat of a burnished gold detail on the inside. once you have you base runes done, paint from lighter to darker with the shades [yellow to orange to red] around the rune.
Hope this helps!
