Just an informal poll....
If someone were to figure out a way to remove 99% of the paint from models, would you pay a modest fee, say something like $.50 per model to have it done? This method removes 99% of the paint and primer and leaves the plastic and most glues totally intact.
I have been testing methods and think I have found something that will do just that.
what is this method? oh, and yes, i would pay that.
if you are reading this signature, then you are wasting you're time, and i am wasting my time by writing it, so run along now, jimmy, run along.
So you think you've found a way and are inconsiderate enough to not share it with us?
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
This doesn't sound like an 'Informal Poll' to me.... more like a blatant sales pitch!!
Nothing wrong with you making a little money if you have a service to provide and if people are willing to pay it, but I'm not convinced this is the right forum for 'Advertising'.
Also, pinned to the top of this forum is a whole article on stripping models and there's enough information that almost anyone should be able to do it for themselves.
To be honest, all you need is a bottle of nail polish remover and a toothbrush. Simple!
Terminator Based Custom Chapter
LOL, it's getting hostile in here!!
I was just wondering if someone would pay me to do it for them. I've read the post pinned above as well as the posts on everyother forum on the net and no one has even mentioned it or thought of it from what I gather. It takes about $800 in equipment though, which is probably the reason why people haven't mentioned it.
And I'm NOT advertising. I just did some testing with some equipment I bought and it seems to work OK so I figured I'd ask to see if anyone would be willing to pay me to do it.
That IS advertising. If you want to offer a service, put an add up in the Trader forum. If you want to share your technique, add it to the stripping thread pinned at the top.Originally posted by Bronco Johnny@Mar 19 2005, 09:51
