I need a quick way to paint my da army (I save the time for my nids) and I decided on an idea to speed up the process.
*prime with chaos black
*spray lightly with dark angels green
*use green ink on the armour
*Bolt gun metal drybrushed on a chaos black undercoat for gun and other metal areas.
*Touch up with blood red on the eyes and black in the resesses
Any other ideas would be helpful too.
You call those cheap implants boobs?
They aren't boobs, they're lies!
sounds good except i would also edge the mini with da green right out of the bottle you can add that to the plan, or replace it with the green ink wash
[40k] - Dark Eldar
I couldn't find a fault at all with it
<span style='color:green'><span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>THE REAL SHADOW ELF IS HERE!!</span>
<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>The tyranids will rip you to peices as soon as they rip your friends</span></span>
with my Dark Angels I dry brush the whole model scorpion green and then just go ahead with boltgun on the gun and any other detail as well as the blood red in the eyes. Chaos black always go well in the under armor.
The dry brushing actually worked out well with me, its a lot easier than highlighting and I think it looks better. I have not used any inks yet though. I still need to experiment with it sometime.
Use the standard IG concept. Pick out a color, use on a lot of models, then move to the next, assembly line. It saves brushes and paint.

you could undercoat it white, then use dark green ink. that looks pretty good
Hi, my first post should seem appropriate, since I am a DA player myself with about 4000pts painted. Your painting technique looks good, although I myself prefer doing it by hand over a black undercoat. Post pics when you finish.
Astador, this discussion was over a month ago. Look at the dates next tiem before you post, allright?
