    battle-damaged assault marine.

here you go, my first Black Dragon assault marine.

it still needs the claws, but i'll get those soon enough.
    but what do you think?
the left eye is "damaged", scratches on the pack, shoulderpads, left upper leg, right knee and both the lower legs.

    looks mean, doesn't it?

looks pretty kewl. The dark colors do make the damage a bit hard to see. I myself am going to try the pin-vise bullet holes as soon as I get the drill bits.

I love it! He looks battle hardened and ready to chop some xenos. I like how the damaged eye is darker, like it got disabled and stuff. Overall its a high quality gaming figure. Thumbs up!

    Nice!

The claw marks on one of the shoulderpads look a bit uniform to me (claws aren't the same length, and don't enter at the same position) but other than that, very nice work. He looks suitably gnarled and battle hardened. The exposed metal is a nice touch.

yeah, i'll try to let the claws "skip and slip" a little in the next one.

perhaps a piece of broken stuck claw embedded in the shoulder pads?

i recomend that you do some more visible grey highlighting. then wash the highlights with a black ink to tone them down if you want them to be muted

That left eye just might be the coolest thing i have ever seen...

I agree about the highlighting though, it could make him look at little less haggard and more uniform but I think it would enunciate the silver well and make the damage look a lot better.
