    40k - Daemonhosts

I have decided to create my own special little daemonhosts for my army, since I can't stand the look of the official ones. The main parts of the models I have chosen will come from the Nightbringer and the Deceiver (I am making 2 seperate daemonhosts. Spare no expense!). Specifically, the lower portion, with the flowing robes and the lifting off the ground. The problem comes in finding a suitable upper portion (or in the case of the deceiver body, head and arms) for a bound daemonhost. The models won't have chains and other bonds as such, but I will paint sigils and wards on them to show they are bound. I am trying to find bits that will show that the daemonhost is in pain (from the wards and such) in a dramatic pose (ex: bent backwards and screaming at the sky). Can anyone recommend models and parts of models I can use in my conversion? Much appreciated.

Nice idea. There was an example in one of the UK WDs about this. Fitsy of all paint them very differently to C'Tan. The arms you should be able tob end yourself into contorted, agonising positions. Just maybe swap the heads. Maybe a strigoi head or a big skull or one of the beastmen banner tops [very cool, have a look]. Just give it a very random head.

I always thought a cool daemonhost would be a little guy in tattered white hospital garments holding his head in his hands and screaming, sort of like Tetsuo in Akira.

It would be rad because you would have an unarmed, unarmoured and totally inoffensive looking model tearing the bejesus out of everybody it came into contact with.

Still, the C'Tan models are big too, and they were up as a suggestion. Aren't they about the size of an Inquisitor model?

Similar to robotnik's idea. Get a guy looking crazy in a straight jacket and hannibal lecutre style mask/cage on his face [liek the things from Thief III]. Paint him in pale skin tones and white/pale blue clothing. If you ahve Thrif III check the freaks in the Cradle [best game level ever], they're perfect for daemonhosts: uinarmed, spstic but helluva scary, and deadly enemies.
