I've been building a battlewagon for the past week or so out Plasticard and my bits box. WIP Photos:
Basic body in place:
Possible Side sponsons
I then had to have this baby sort-of ready for a game on Tuesday evening so after a night of rushing to get some detailing in place, followed by a hurried spraying it was packed in the case and taken to the game. Happily it dropped off my Warboss and 19 Slugga boyz with full Burna's and Power Klaws right into their front line on turn 1 - The Panzee's never saw it coming Also got quite a few compliments from people there.
Here it is undercoated:
I am gonna add some more plates, particularly to the side of the cab but I needed it sprayed at least for the game last night. Unfortunately I can't make it any taller because it won't fit in my case if I do.
Costs so far:
1/2 of a £2.99 sheet of 1mm plasticard.
Less than 1/4 of a .99p sheet of thin plasticard.
A few gubbinz from the bits box.
2 dozen staples.
Some "3D Paint" for the rivets.
About 50p worth of coppers (I was woefully short on wheels so I bunched a load of coins together and stuck tape round the edges.
And a nice big greasy finger up to Games Workshop - if they don't want to give us models for 75% of our codex choices then I'll damn well make my own
OI! ive seen this on the WAAAGH!
The bed is very empty, add a few barrels and wotnotz to break it up.
can we get a moddel for a size referance?

It looks well built and that's my problem with it. It's too neat, too straight angled, too new.
Simply put, it's not orky.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
i'm going to agree that it's not orky enough, looks more like an imperial guard vehicle, slightly scruffy but maintained weel enough. ork stuff should like like it's defyingthe laws of everything by just moving! also, it could do with a few random grotz here and there, just to give it more character. other than those two issues, 'tis a very nice model and i would like to see it painted soon.
if you are reading this signature, then you are wasting you're time, and i am wasting my time by writing it, so run along now, jimmy, run along.
nice job, as you say its a great base to work from to orky up, or use right now.
I'm an old timer and before I sold my ork army I had 2 Gob Smashers, a Bone crusher and 2 lung burstas all made from following the templates you used to get in white dwarf.
My gob smashers accounted for so many marines it was fantastic. Battle cannon a.d 2 HB mounted either side of the cannon.
Sadly I have no pics
Id have to say, for a scratchbuilt vechile, its rather impressive. Good job. but i dont have to agree with the other guys. Its not orky enough. chuck in a few grots haning of the sides, some rails, a few fuel barrels and tubes going everywhere, cut a section out a the wall or something. the weapons arent orkish, but it u stick a bit of green stuff over them, theyll look like the big mech jsut built em.
 sorry to say it, but its the truth. I do understanf thats its not finished and making things with plastcard is very diffikult. Im sure ittll look alot better when its all painted up !!!
