i intend to use the grey knight terminator captain as my grand master model. to make him look different from other terminator captain models i intended to put the head of a daemon on the end of his blade. what daemon head should i use? and what method of getting the head on to the blade should i use..?
You're obviously braver than I am, I wouldn't even try. I've seen too many models ruined by 'trophies'.
The job can be done decently if the head is casually rolling around on the floor but once the item is being held in a powerfist or impaled on the end of a sword, it is so much harder to get it to look balanced. I don't mean it's going to fall over, just that the pose will look wrong.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
Cut the blade wherever you want the head.
File the side or top or bottom (whatever way you want the head to be) flat so it will stick better.
Then cut the sword shorter by how thick the head is.
File it flat.
Glue to the head (but make sure that it is IN LINE with the other side!!!!)
