Hi, I posted my Sgt last week and caused a bit of fuss with the positioning of the arms-I hope I have them right now! Anyway it is now painted and nearly finished but wanted some more feedback before I continue. For those that have read my other posts this is my first ever painted army even though I have been involved with 40k for 17 years.
There are a few firsts here for me(now that I think about it basically everything is a first for me)- GS tabbard, rock made out of putty, hand drawn symbols/markings, power weapon effect- not sure about that one. Anyway let me know what you think.
Crisp painting there Dizzt! The highlights are well suited to the blue - and the blue looks like Ultramarine livery but not as bright as many that you see. Power weapon looks smart (and the added coherance with the purple power lead on his arm) although I personally prefer metal with a lightning affect
The arms look much better, makes the pose look finished. Nice one. I'm in the midst of painting my first actual army after being collecting for years too! Just an army to collect though - not play
Edit: The snow base compliments the blue armour well too.
Could you link us to the pictures? It says here that the bandwith has been exceeded. :o
Heh, well. I never even noticed that little photobucket banner banner. It displays 3 photos for me and just after he scond is a little Photobucket bandwdth exceded banner.
I wondered why this thread wasnt getting much attention for what its worth.
