Man, those look really nice. Did you use a WHFB dwarf shield for the 1st pic?

Wow. I thought I was a half-decent painter. You're good.
I especially like the wood grain on the shields, and the teeth. Awesome.
Yeah, I like the teeth a lot too, but I'm paticularly taken by the shoulder pad on Orc 3, a very realistic metal look.
Great job WR
Terminator Based Custom Chapter
Excellent. I luv those shields...care to clue me in on how you did 'em? Is that axe standard orc issue or did you nick it from another sprue? Great job...makes me want to go out and collect orcs!
I hear voices...and they don't like you!
Damn, that some really nice work you have there Wolfraider, if these are just the basic troops I'm holding my hart when you reveal your general.
Pimpin as usual Wolfie, although i'm not to keen on the second ones blotchy jacket but the rtest are superb. 4.5/5
As a unit they will definitely stand out for sure! I like the way the metals turned out. Not too dirty but definitely not well taken care of. I do like the more "realistic" shading to the skin though they do come off a bit powdery and drybrushed. The horns and shields look very nice. For some reason (could be the pics) there are areas that look like they would benefit from a "darker" darklining (especially around the teeth). For some reason it just comes off as faded. For Rank and File troops they definitely look a cut above the norm. For what they are you really don't need to change things.

Thanks all for the comments. Lets see if I can answer the questions.
Senigar, it may be a dwarf shield. I have a big bag of assorted shields I dig into for Orcs. I added the spike in the center from the bitz pile.
Wookie, the axe was taken from the old plastic Chaos warriors sprue. As for the wood its pretty easy. I start with white primer as a base. I paint it with a very thinned Beastial Brown. Thin enought that it flows into the receses to start the shading. Once dry I wash all the wood with GW brown ink thinned one drop of thinner to four drops ink.
Very nice man they remind me of classic warhammer peices the kind that got me into the hobby. Once again nice work man keep it up.
