How to make your own Tyrant Guard?

Looking for advice. I plan to make some tyrant guard more or less from scratch, since the new ones are like $15 each! And it's something to do until the battlebox arrives. I've got 3 old 2nd ed warriors that were damaged ages ago and sitting in the bitz box. I want to use the legs, tails, and heads as the basis for the guards. Lots of greenstuff and 'stealer parts to flesh them out. I'm just not sure exactly how big to make them. They go on the big creature bases, yes? About how tall should a guard be compared with a standard marine? It looks like about 1 and a half times by the picture...

if you GS a ribcage like what all new new nidmodels have and a huge carapace onto the old warriors it should do the trick.. but if you want to use a torso from a new 'nid model use parts from warriors, stealers are too small. but you'll def need to bulk them out otherwise they'll just look like gangly warrior/stealers

You could take the warrior legs (maybe reposition), use rending claws for the middle arms and maybe an old guard body and if you can reposition the head, make it facing more forward.. Then add a lot of extended carapraces to make it look tougher armored. This will probably end up too small though unless you bulk up the torso with putty or just add a whole lot of extended caraprace or maybe hollow out the warriors back caraprace and add it on. Warrior scything talons on the front legs.

Well I found a nice little thread on how big the guard are and look.......it was started by you. Here's the answer if you haven't had a chance to read it yet:

    guard
    40mm base-about 50mm tall
    space marine-about 30mm tall
