This is the best paint job I have ever seen. As much as I like to, I can't claim it my own. And most members would dislike the model itself, but its painting job is so way to impressive that I had to show you. I think this guy had nothing to do for 3 months or so.... and look at that mirror image, painted on a flat surface!
I actually don't know how I found that pic....
I'm much more impressed by the base than the mini itself.
Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity.
So am I though It's a good model... Any Idea how it was made? also, is that model GW?

base is awesome. And no it is not GW. The modle pose sucks, paint job is nice. Best paint job ive seen is that one khorne berserke ontop of that deamon thing. The axe looked hot.
Impressive. Amazing what can be done with an airbrush. I really like the model as well but if I were to be super critical it looks too metalic for my tastes. But still it's a very impressive piece of work.
I hear voices...and they don't like you!
I believe the figure is a Dark Age miniature based on the artwork of Brom. This guy is a fantastic painter. All of the metal was done in NMM style and while over the top really does look impressive.
I really like how he was able to stick to a very simple color pallete yet good separation of details. My opinion is actually opposite some of the others. I feel the base detracts from the feeling of immersion on this figure. The base comes off as a 2 dimensional painting while the figure is rendered so well. That said the whole idea is all very cool.
The pose is truly awful.. it screams can-can to me.
The model is very well painted, but I agree with others as to the colour palate.. it's too.. metalic, with not enough contrast.
What do you mean exactly by not enough contrast. If the figure didn't have enough contrast the colors would run together and you wouldn't be able to differentiate between the various areas of the figure. This one clearly has defined areas of the model. It is simply using a very small color pallete.Originally Posted by The_Giant_Mantis
the pose is a bit **** but the paint job is the best ting in the world ever! It rules!!
Very impressive paintjob, no problems with that. I love the fish in the water.
The model is a bit pants though, shame he didn't use a decent GW mini.
