Hmm... I would first start with a coat of bleached bone, cover that with chestnut ink, then highlight with golden yellow(this is if you use those crap GW paints). If you wanna take a step further, highlight with sunburst yellow, then very thin lines of white.
hope it helps.

Mmm that sounds interesting but i dont think it wil work because the bleach bone basecoat and then the ink will be weird to highlight with golden yellow and wont be the blonde colour i want. But thanks anyway for the help.
Any other ideas?
So I'm guessing you want bright blonde hair, rather than fair?
A Brown (Perhaps Vomit) would be good to start with. Over it with yellow ink. Then drybrush it with Sunburst yellow. Then highlight it with a 70/30 Skull White/Golden Yellow mix.
This is what I used, looked nice, but took a few attempts to accomplish.
Good luck Tycho.
Thanks for that Pierced thats sounds pretty good ill try it.But im not sure abot the sunburst yellow drybrush over the brown.Yeah i kind of want a bright look but not too bright.Originally Posted by Pierced53
I forgot to mention this is a very light drybrush. I sometimes leave this out if I don't want the hair too bright.
- I'll try and get some pics up of models' hair painted this way later today.

Use a mid-brown base coat and drybrush it with desert yellow (which is really not yellow at all). Perhaps then wash i wish Snakebite leather and then highlight it with a 50/50 desert yellow/skull white mix.
Real Blonde hair is not at all yellow, and using such a colour incorrectly could result in a 'cartoonish' look.

Thanks for that Wolfkin.I will definately try that as it sounds pretty good and i think it will work. And yeah i know what you mean about the blonde not being to yellow and i agree with you entirely but i dont want a blonde looking dull and brownie nor do i want a blonde looking like sunburst yellow,i want the blonde to be in between. But i will try what you have suggested.Originally Posted by wolfkin
Here is one way I have done blonde hair. I think it has turned out well enough:
Base coat of Vallejo Game Color Bald Moon Yellow (Yeah they aren't trying to copy any other paint naming convention! )
Wash with Chestnut ink
first Highlight of Vallejo Model Color Yellow Sand
2nd Highlight with Vallejo Model Color Buff
