This is part of my latest commission. This is the forgeworld Nurgle Dread. I have always wanted to paint one of these guys up and I am very excited to have finally been given the opportunity to do so.
I am painting it up in my usual straition pattern. The base is Vallejo Game Color Cayman green. To this I washed with brown ink and then started to create the "striations" by taking a smaller brush and building up lines of overlapping color starting with Cayman Green, then Camouflage green, and finally dead flesh (all vallejo game color paints).
As you can see there is still quite a bit of work to do. As always your comments/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Nice job! I don't see too much left to do except punch up the base. Nicely done!

Slorak, the striation work is superb mate.
Have you finished the exhasts and metal on the plasma gun?
The metal in the first pictures is not finished. I have more complete metal in these pics. I plan on adding a rust additive to areas of it. It is a 2 part product from modern options that creates a very neat rust.Originally Posted by Cheredanine
Here are the latest pictures. One thing I think works real well is the purple wash on the gold/brass to bring out the definition better. I am very pleased with how this process has turned out.
Thanks to everyone with their kind words. I am still playing around with ideas for the eyes and they will definitely change. I currently don't really like the direction I was heading.

Here are the last pictures. I have to address a few minor issues such as the wiring exposed in one of the pipes and do a touch of clean up but the model will not look much different than it does now. Enjoy!
As alwasy comments, critiques, suggestions are always welcome and very much appreciated.
