I am getting there, have the digital camera, need to sort my lighting out.
Sanguinary High Priest
More in my gallery.
very nice and crisp painting, tho the use of varnish spoils the detals, or maybe its just the lighting. But overall theres some good stuff there, tho ive never been a fan of blod red or gold, but it looks good..
Nice models, but i would use a little less varnish since they are alittle too shiney for my taste

Two words, then two more.
If you're using the latter, sorry.
There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship's smoke on the horizon
You are only coming through in waves
Your lips move but I can't hear what you are saying
The shinyness works on metallics, but on red... that's a strech.
Henceforth no man shall set foot upon the world, and all around shall be set sentinals to ward away unwary spacecraft. We must accept that this place is lost to us forever, and is now the eternal habitation of abomination.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>another annoying thing i hate: 47,000 similies in one post. just thoght id throw that in there and see if anybody else hates it as much as i do.</div>
Thanks, its the flash / lighting I'm afraid, I mentioned my set up with the camera - check out the glare on the banner.
I'm not a fan of red ink either.
I have seen the horrors of gloss varnish. Having said that, I have seen the damage cuased to thinly varnished models with day-to-day to movement.
