    Pyramids

    ok, after searching google, and the scenery forums, i have found no guides to making pyramids, so im asking you, the members of librarium-online, to help me out, with a guide to making egyptian style pyramids(its for a large-ish necron board im making, i got the obelisks down, but i need help with the triangular smooth sided pyramids) size doesnt really matter seeing as how i will be making quite a few of varying size, but a good idea of how to make them, preferably outta foamcore or watever that hard board is called(you know its like posterboard, its white usually, kinda hard to right on but very well liked for modelling purposes..)

    so thanks....

    A smooth pyramid is easiest made by cutting four identical triangles out of foam-core or masonite and gluing them together.
    98% of the teenage population does or has tried smoking pot.
    The other 2% are smart enough to question the 'science' behind that number...
    And it's spelled EMPEROR!

    thanks pierced, but i wanted an egyptian style 1, not a step pyramid, but thanks for trying, although i alreaady knew about that...

    tubal - do you mean you cut out 4 triangles of equal size shape etc, and then glue them together, each one on a slant??? so that all the edges meet up and they end in a point at the top? if so that sounds just like what i was thinking of, but wasnt sure it was gonna work, thanks though, if anyone else knows of a different way that may be easier please, TELL ME!!!

    What you could simply do, if you wanted a 4 sided square based one, is draw a net, like this one;

    [Okay, I know that isn't straight or anything]

    Cut it out, (though, you may need to cut out the triangle faces seperately and stick them together so they meet) and draw around it onto whatever material you want to use. This would be basic, but looked very good flocked with modelling sand.

    Would probably look something like this: [I know it isn't straight, either]

    Hope this helps.
