Welcome to Librarium Online!
Ever since I started my work on my Alpha Legion Army I have been persistantly bugged by one question. What am I going to use as my color scheme? The reason for this is that I dont like the color scheme in the codex and the pre-heresy scheme is a bit too monochromatic for my tastes. I have however settled on a color scheme I like.
Like the other color schemes mine is based around two colors, blue and green. The backpack, legs, arms, body, and shoulder pads are blue, and the hands, head, elbows, feet, knees (not visible in the pics), groin, shoulder trim, and backpack vents.
I would, of course, like your opinions on the choice. Bear in mind that as this is mainly my test model I haven't gone ahead with the chapter badge and other markings.

Rules for grenades are on page 72 of the rulebook.
Ummm Im guessing the paint job isnt done yet... but i would paint the entire model regal blue highlight ultramarinesblue and enchantedblue then paint darkangels, gobline green, snot green along all the edges and then give the entire model a heavy wash of darkgreen ink and then a 1/5 mix of blue ink (and water) over the shoulder pads and etc. Thats how i would do it.
It wont kill and it wont fright...
But it will find your way at night.
Any combination of blue and green is recommended, as far as I'm aware. I've seen alpha legionaires who were fairly bright green or fairly bright blue. The test model looks fine to me, provided it has the alpha legion badge quite obvious, since it's not quite the 'codex' colour scheme.
Also, remember alpha legion are one of the recommended armies for representing Red Corsairs who, I think, have one of the best colour schemes around.
Is the loyalist model just for the test?
