Anyway this is just an amusing thing that happened...
I was glueing together my new predator and the top of the hull wouldn't fit flush against the sides on the front right corner. This was pissing me off because i knew it would look stupid that way but i couldn't get it to fit, i tried fileing stuff down, i tried forcing it inplace nothing worked.
DFinnally i just got fed up and decided i was going to bond the to part together if it was the last thing i ever did, so naturally i used execive amounts of plastic cement!!!
Now anyone whos made plastic modlels know that plastic cement will marr the surface of your tank, and it look just as bad as a misaligned hull plate because it looks all marred. This is when ispiration struck and i decided to dump on a whole lot more cement then i could possibly need for the bond. As plastic cement does it started eating away at the plastic turning it all gooy, i jabs at it and poked around with it and just had fun playing with it and low and behold... Meltagun battle damage!!!!!
To finish it off i drybrushed it black, and then dry brushed it again even lighter with silver. looks kinda cool.
Cool. Funny how things work out.
could you upload a pic for us to see wot to expect?
no digital camera, and the tank won't go on the scanner verywell. Like i said it was a mistake but you can take mistakes and convert them so they add character to models.
(i wouldn't intensionally do this)
kinda like me toying around with them old nid warriors way back when, when they were really ugly, and came with the genius game Advanced Space Crusade, and...I dunno why, but I just stared at myself burning them into plastic goo with a lighter...well, anyways, I managed to salvage them into excellent creatures genetically engineered by the Hive Mind (slimy...gooey...thingies monsters
I had a SW dread that the wolf skull on the front of the sarcaphogus hadnt fully formed and one of the eyes was filled in, I managed to repair the skull for the most part and as for the eye I had a brilliant idea. I painted it black, added some black lines for straps and he became Venerable Brother "Patch" even painted that on his nameplate. Alot of my buddies thought I had purposely filled in the eye to do that.

Always nice to now people that won't let stuff go to waste...
The closest thing I have had to that has to be my chaos cultists made from catachans and zombies, well they looked f*****, so they kinda ended up as bodies or whatever, now they have a new glorious future as my basilisk tank crew... glorious? ok so they fit for the job to get shot when they miss the target, that's why I have 30 of them...
Ohh! I got one...
I once blew up a model airplane... it now fits perfectly as battlefield junk...
Seriously... i blew it up... it looke crappy
