I'm looking at repainting my loyalist marines (currently yellow) to a darker, almost black-like blue. The two colours that I have in mind are regal blue and midnight blue, over top of a Chaos Black under-coat. If you have any suggestions it would be greatly apreciated.
I'm also looking for a secondary colour (for the guns and chainswords), any suggestions will be greatly apreciated.
i would go with boltgun. i know it is boring but the dark greyish silver would go well with the blue... i have some grey and blue models(not marines though) and they are cool. and although i have never seen anything with midnight blue i would personally go with the regal
Midnight Blue is more of a purple. Regal Blue, however, is really nice. It goes well with reds and greys.
Burn the land and boil the sea. You can't take the sky from me.
Member of the Canadian Clan, eh.
Mech Tau Cadre: 2000 points, needs paint and magnets.
Paladins of Avalon (SW):-1500 points, needs paint.
I have a Thousand Sons army that is, for the most part, regal blue and chainmail, I like it... However, I think you should do regal blue with ice blue trim... So they kinda look tron-esk lol.
You Can't Stop the Eighp
Had Tzeentch before I knew how to play :P
in terms of centums idea for the trim i think it is cool but maybe you can take a slightly darker blue maybe enchanted or ultra and mix it with mithril silver to give it a metalic blue trim...
I saw this wicket tyranid model on this 40k site:Warhammer 40k
The colors there would be a good choice. I think it was somewhere in their blog system.
