i want to make an almost all infantry imperial gaurd i kinda want to go with a football scheme which one do you think would look the best or coolest
light blue armor and black mesh or vise-versa(panthers)
turquize(?) armor and black mesh or vise-versa(jaguars)
boltgun armor and a shiny blue mech or vise vera(it looks cool)
I like the idea. Although your pick of NFL teams is questionable IMO I'd go with the reversed jaguars theme...Black armor with the mesh painted turqoise and then drybrushed with boltgun metal. Now if you really wanted a challenge may I suggest a Bengals theme with the shoulder pads painted in a tiger striped pattern? The possibilities boggle the mind!
I hear voices...and they don't like you!
IMO, a darker armour/flakjacket color with a lighter fatigue color is the way to go.
thanks for the help and to wookie i do like the bengals but i dont really want to paint a lot of tiger stripes. also i have only really like the bengals for about 5 or 6 years while i have liked these two expansion teams since they came out
Using sports teams colors is a nice way to get out of doing homework on color wheels and complimentary colors and all that hoo haa.
I painted my marines in the colors of my favorite hockey team- the L.A. Kings. The power armor is black, the chest eagle and other trim is silver metallic, and their shoulder pads are purple. Looks really sweet.
I'd go with the Jags color scheme, but that's just me.
We all carry on,
When our brothers in arms are gone.
So raise your glass high
For tomorrow we die,
And return from the ashes you call.
You should make it a 49ers scheme, as their color scheme is, in my opinion, one of the best. Red and Gold work together very well. I also like the Bengals and the Falcons' jerseys, and probably a few other teams that I'm forgetting right now.
