I have found a need for a heavy infantry killer, who can also fight in melee. (This in addition to all the other Tyranids, what I mean is a Carnifex that can do all this). So, this guy meets the requirements and ends up being 179 points. He is nicknamed Gamera, after the giant Japanese monster. It is also where I got the tusks idea for the conversion.
And more pictures:

Looks good. Not a lot of conversion and a little simplistic but it still looks good with the smoothness of it. I like the tusks and how it doesn't have too many random protrusions for what all it has. Some I've seen just have too much going on they turn out looking horrible but yours doesn't. Nice job!

Removed the sacs under the head and slobber drips for the acid maw.
The meeting between the body and lower torso was repositioned, so that he sits up more. Greenstuff fills in the space there. (And brass rod reinforced the joint).
An "eye" was attached to the side of the barbed strangler to represent enhanced senses.
Porous tissue was added to the top of the spines on his back and fleshy texture around the bases.
A spare plain carapace was cut down, the far end filled with green stuff, and then it was attached to his chest/belly region. Green stuff was textured in to make the meeting between the torso and carapace look smooth. The adrenal sac was attached there.
The armor on the shoulders was made by cutting down a spikey one so that just a small spiked nub protruded. I was going for a snapping turtle look and that seemed to come out exactly how I wanted.
Finally, the spiked tail was added. This was a copy of a tail I made for another Carnifex (Gojira), because I liked it and it seemed to fit well with the look for Gamera.
I love it... but what is that green glob on the base?
You Can't Stop the Eighp
Had Tzeentch before I knew how to play :P
It's called Carni-Crap, what Gamera leaves after snacking on a few dozen flashlight-wielding guardsmenOriginally Posted by Centum
