I had some skull white paint from GW for about 6 years, and used it very rarely. Every now and then I would put in a few drops of water to keep it liquid. But now theres a funny smell and it doesn't quite spread out correctly, I think. Does anyone know why? Should I just get new paint or what, although I hate forking out money for something I already have
The funny smell could be caused by bacteria, mold, or something similar growing in your paint. Is it discolored at all? If it isn't spreading correctly even with adding water or other thinning agent to the paint - I would suggest tossing it. I wouldn't know what factors contaminated paint would have over long term durability, discoloring or what not - but having paint that doesn't thin well does you no service.

Bacteria growing in the paint? Blech. Perfect for Death Guard marines!
