Ok, I am having some trouble painting my SW army. I can't get them to look any good, I try to make 'em look kinda like the pics you see in WD, but get no-where near. Any advise on what ways to paint them to get best results.... Should I be trying to get a nice light coulor? Or should I be sticking to Shadow grey with some highlighting....? Please help!!!!!
I think Shadow Grey with highlighting should give the desired affct, if you apply some kind of watered-down-to-hell version of Space Wolves Grey afterward. Noone paints their Spacewolves "Spacewolves Grey" unless they're dumb poops.
Henceforth no man shall set foot upon the world, and all around shall be set sentinals to ward away unwary spacecraft. We must accept that this place is lost to us forever, and is now the eternal habitation of abomination.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>another annoying thing i hate: 47,000 similies in one post. just thoght id throw that in there and see if anybody else hates it as much as i do.</div>
nice to see another space wolf player
anyway, i would paint it like this:
8 part shadow grey 2 part SWG mix highlight
half-half mix hilight
2 part shadow + 8 part SWG highliht
then just space wolves grey
That is a vary usefull tutorial. Just substitute the greys in for Shadow grey and Space Wolves grey, and you should get the results you want.
If Wolves were meant to fly, wouldn’t the Emperor have given them wings?
