if you spray varnish on clear plastic it fogs up and looks crappy. I think the paint on varnish is perfectly safe. The paint on varnish is shiny and i don't want to paint varnish the whole model, i don't mind shnny windows.
If i paint varnish on the clear parts, both sides and let it dry, can i then spray on varnish without fear of ruining the model's clear plastic???
i have had an unvarnished eldar vyper for like years now, and finnally bought paint on varnish and want to know if its finnally safe to varnish the model.
Hmm I don't know. Maybe you could try on some old models or bases?

You could also try varnishing the clear by hand, then putting something over it (removable tape?) and then spraypainting everything.
