Could some people please list some non-GW brand paints that work well on minitures. After going to GW a while back I was disgusted to find paint pots at $5 a piece, what are they thinking? Also could you please list some common places to aquire these brands (preferably some australian ones for me, but feel free to list others) and a rough pricing. If we get a nice big list this may be sticky worthy if the mods feel so. Anyway let the listing commence.
Try Vallejo colors. They are cheaper then GWs and they all have the same colors (there are even a guide so that you can see what Vallejo colors have nearly the same color as GWs).
Dont know where you can get them in Australia though.
excellent, an autralian i can actually help. try milsims
link is www.milsims.com.au. u can get them to send u a free magazine or u can just browse the site, good site, cheaper GW paints too, they also do vallejo
FOR THE EMPORER!!
Do you have Wal-Mart stores where you live? If you do, then they sell an amazing range of good quality acrylic paints for USD $.99 each. In fact you get a whopping 2 fluid ounces of paint for that price compared to .4 fluid ounces for $2.50.
Personally, though, it's much much easier to just use GW paints. The extra price is actually worth it for me especially with the new easier to use flip top caps.
