I got my techpriest a week ago and I'm wondering on how I can get a cool rust affect around his legs. Does anyone know how?
Fear me, for I have a Flashlight.
Drybrush Tin Bitz and then a light layer of Boltgun Metal. Wash it with black and do a light tin bitz drybrush again. Works for me.
I use a product from a company called Modern Options and have had some really cool results.
It is a 2 part brush on patina that uses real iron filings and a solution that accelerates rusting on the iron flakes. So you get real rust! I am sure you can pick it up at a local craft store or online. I got mine at Michaels craft store.

Wow they look great slorak! That rust looks unreal! I might look into what you are talking about.
On the contrary (always wanted to say that) i'd say that rust looks REALLY real. Real to the point of unrealism.
Anyway, i find that if you don't want to use specialist products or multiple layers of paint, flesh wash it good for quick rust.
They shall be my Imperial Guard and they shall know some fear...
