    Rust on

I got my techpriest a week ago and I'm wondering on how I can get a cool rust affect around his legs. Does anyone know how?

Fear me, for I have a Flashlight.

Drybrush Tin Bitz and then a light layer of Boltgun Metal. Wash it with black and do a light tin bitz drybrush again. Works for me.

I use a product from a company called Modern Options and have had some really cool results.

It is a 2 part brush on patina that uses real iron filings and a solution that accelerates rusting on the iron flakes. So you get real rust! I am sure you can pick it up at a local craft store or online. I got mine at Michaels craft store.

Here are some examples of what it looks like on miniatures:

On the contrary (always wanted to say that) i'd say that rust looks REALLY real. Real to the point of unrealism.

Anyway, i find that if you don't want to use specialist products or multiple layers of paint, flesh wash it good for quick rust.
