Just finished: some Drunes for Confrontation. This was an experiment in a darker flesh tone, and I was pleased with the results. The top highlight is Vallejo Beige.
Bleeding in the purple and red to represent distressed flesh was an idea that came from a painter who worked once as a theater makeup artist. She used this to good effect in some Alchemists:
A painter down at the studio is thinking of doing a high elf army in this dark green armor and black cloth theme. Sort of a sinister Elric sort of high elves. I think it might just work. As long as the lines are clean, they will still be believable, I think.

WOW. These look great, the flesh looks suitibly distressed and the cloth is dark enough to show off the light flesh that bit more. Very nicely done. I like the effect of the weapons and armour; and almost obsidian look. How did you acheive this?
