I have been experimenting with some of my trash models for a good imperial fist army. I have the yellow down cold, now I am looking for a really cool looking way to do the angel of death chest crest in red but I have not yet found a look that I like. Does anyone out there have some good ideas, especially focusing on ink washes and highlights?
not really knowing, but i would try a red ink wash, followed by a scab/gore red layer, then a blood red highlight/drybrush
FOR THE EMPORER!!
I find that a good red comes from a scab red basecoat, wash with thinned brown ink, then highlight up with red gore to blood red. That yields a nice deep red color.

Indiana: It's not the years, honey, it's the mileage.
