    [40K]/[WHFB] Round/rectangular base swap

Hi all, I play both 40K (Kroot Merc/Eldar) and WHFB (Chaos). I'd really like to use those tough looking 40k Tau Kroot Hounds as themselves in 40K and as Warhounds of Chaos in WHFB.

However, the 40k bases are round and the Fantasy bases are rectangular--Any ideas for how I can set up an easy non-permanent swap between the two base types so that I can use the Kroot Hounds in both games? (I'm sure something like this been discussed before , and links to old threads would be appreciated too)

Your logic is insane and happenstance.

Are Kroot Hounds metal? If so, they should have little pegs on their feet that are to be inserted into holes in their bases (that you yourself drill). You could use those pegs to hold them in place both on round bases and on cavalry bases (which you'd need to use for them to count as Hounds of Chaos). Don't glue them or otherwise attach them to either of the bases, so that you can interchange them at your whim. I'm not sure how stable they'd be, and you'd probably have to fill the slots in the cavalry bases in (green stuff or a layer of plasticard or something) then drill new holes.

Actually, they don't have the pegs, they use the slot system.

Even better. There's you answer, Mani. Cut slots into the round bases and simply do not glue the beasts to them. Still, if you want to make them sturdy, magnets are always an option.
